Project planning:

1. Introduction

     The introduction mainly focuses on the background of Macau movies. The Background of Macau’s current situation contains two aspects.

      Macau itself is one hand. Macau has a long history and has a cross-culture advantage, so Macau has a potential ability in the future. Since Macau’s film industry starts late and develop slowly. It really needs the help of others.

      Comparison between Macau and Hong Kong is the other hand. Although they have familiar cultural environment, HK is better at using its unique culture in the film.

      Therefore, we look foreword to the future of Macau’s film industry with confidence.

 3.Purpose

?      For film industry: we will show the successful films of mainland China and set a perfect example to stimulate Macau’s film industry.

?      For filmmakers: we will provide a platform for filmmakers to share experience and give them a chance to communicate with each other.

?      For visitors: We will hold several lectures and play some movies for visitors. It will give visitors a chance to understand the film industry and mobilize public enthusiasm.

 6. Suite layout

    We choose Venetian to hold our exhibition because there has a large place for us to decorate; meanwhile Venetian has a high reputation so that we may receive more visitors to visit our display.

    We decide to use pavilion B as our suite, which is on the first floor of Cotail Expo. It is 9318 square meters. We have 3 parts in the pavilion: two cinema halls, a lecture hall and a main center. Two cinema halls are both over 1000 square meters.

    We will display some chosen movies there; our opening ceremony will also be hold there. They are equipped with top film projection equipment. Audience can have a wonderful visual experience.

    The lecture hall is also over 1000 square meters. The decoration of the hall

is very flexible because if there are too many people, we can add more chairs and put away the desks in the hall. On the contrary, if there are few people, we can put more desks into the hall, making audience more comfortable. The lecture hall is equipped with a computer system, a projection system and a multi-media system. There will be an experience zone near the lecture hall.

    The biggest part of our exhibition is the main center. Our exhibition positions are all in this hall, we rent these exhibition positions to the companies so that they can show what they want to the audience. We also support some extra positions to the companies, but an extra cost is needed.

     For the sake of audience, we have a snake bar in the main center. It will serve some drinks and snacks to the visitors. The snake bar is also rent to the catering company to manage. There are also many places for visitors to have a rest.

 7.Exhibits

  We will provide stands for exhibitors. They can exhibit their movies and sell some souvenirs. The movies they show will rang from different levers and types. So it will be suitable for most audiences.

 9.Propaganda

    We will propagandize this exhibition in many different ways. First we will propaganda through Internet Blog, Weibo, Wechat and Renren will be used to post and update information. Second, we will put up posters and place brochures in universities. Third, newspaper, magazine and LED screen will all be used. Fourth, we will recruit many volunteers from different ages, so that more and more people can take part in this event. Also, this can expand event’s social influence.

    Though we mainly choose four ways, Internet is our first choice.  As we all know, Internet has a strong power to propagandize our exhibition. Therefore, we will put more concentrate on the Internet.

 10.Volunteers---A special way

    We will invite some speakers from different universities.

    We plan to invite Mou yi, Zhang jing, Wen nainan, Gu yingyuan, Ou mengqiu in Macau. We also plan to invite some filmmakers from Hong Kong, such as Chen weiyi, Feng jiaming, Li jinghua,

    As for performers, we will invite social and student associations to give the performance in closing ceremony.

    Besides, we still need some ordinary volunteers: students or other occupations.

We will supply necessary food, accommodation and transportation fee.If they do a good job, we will provide free tickets for film or closing ceremony.

                    11.Tickets

    Tickets for each venue are sold separately. Students and the olds who are above 75 can enjoy half-price tickets.

    Besides, we also prepare three packages. If you purchase 10 or more tickets, you will enjoy 20% discount. A family which contains over three person will enjoy 15% discount. As for couples, we will give them a 10% discount.

Activities:

1.Shop activities

1).Opening Ceremony

    We will hold a simple opening ceremony,which has a special beginning.

    In the opening ceremony, we will introduce the basic information about this exhibition so that people may know more about it.

 

2).Closing ceremony

    First of all, we will invite some famous stars and they will walking on the red blankets at the beginning of the closing ceremony in order to gather visitors.

    Then we will play a video called Experience Macau. After that our principal will have a brief introduction about the exhibition.

    Then our host will issue prize-winner, such as "Best Film" "Best Director" "Best Screenplay"  "Best Editing" "Best Sound" and so on.

     At last we will have a special part: we will play a VCR about filmmaker and introduce their process of making films

 

 

 

2.Activity 1    MICROFLIM CONTEST

1). Time: You should submit work before 2013,04,30.

2). Aim: Promoting the popularity of Macao in the world.  

3). Theme: Anthem For Macao

4). Form: Microfilms about 5 to 20 minutes.

5). Awards:

 

 

 

   (1) Awards Setting: Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Sound and Best Popularity.      (2) Rewards:

     a. Certificates and bonuses. About bonuses, we’ll give MOP5,000 to the winning team of Best Film and MOP2,000 to other winning teams.

     b. We'll recommend winning-teams to the government, and every winning-team will have a chance to become the next team of shooting Macau propaganda film.

6). Processes:

(1) Frist of all, we’ll collect the entries and pick out the 20 on the Internet for people to vote the film which is their favorite one.

(2) Base on the part of collecting, we can start the part of selection.

  a. For the decision of selecting Best Popularity: Because we will put the top 20 films on the Internet and the cinema, people can choose their favorite films in tow ways. Therefore, the total votes of tow places will become the decision of selecting Best Popularity.

  b. We will invite professional judges to help us to pick out winning teams of other awards in the top 20 films.

(3) At last, we will issue certificates and bonuses of all awards in the Award Ceremonywhich is a part of Closing Ceremony.

  We will hold four lectures and two seminars during the exhibition. 

     In day1, we will hold the first lecture. The theme is “Macau---My Sweet Hometown.” In this lecture, we will introduce the development of Macau movie. Audiences may know a colorful Macau in movie area. After lecture, audiences can also ask for some questions in order to know more about the history of Macau movie.

     From second day to fourth day, there will be a series of lecture ranging from different parts of making movies. With the popularization of movie knowledge, it increases people’s interests on movies. So we provide a platform to open the

mysterious mask of producing movies. 

     At the beginning of the second day, we will hold a lecture to show the movie

equipment in different time. It is important for audiences to know more about movie technology and machine in this vivid way.

     Next, there will be a lecture called ”Magic Cosmetic”. We know that audiences are usually curious of wardrobe and makeup. So it’s must be a funny lecture.

     Finally, the theme of lecture is “the secret of props”. As normal audiences, we can hardly touch the props and see the true scene. But in this time, you can experience the props at short range.

     In the last day, we will hold two seminars. One is “the Dialogue between junior and senior filmmakers”. The other is for investors and filmmakers. Through the talks, we may clearly know the newest thought about movie and the market demand. It will help us make a deal for investors and filmmakers. 

     Besides normal lectures, we will also set up a special experience area. There will display some movie-making equipment, which the audience can operate by themselves. Audience has to make an appointment in advance to use the experience zone in case it will bring audience a wonderful feeling.  The experience area is opened according to a specific theme. For example, we will let audiences know how to complete a figure. The lucky man may have a chance to play a role of one famous movie.
